AIR SUPPORT
By joining our Maranatha Radio AIR SUPPORT team you will be committing $12.00 a month toward bringing the Whole Gospel to the Whole World. Your $12.00 a month will join the army of other listeners dedicated to providing solid teaching and Bible study to third world countries as well as other “remote” parts of the world.. Thousands of shortwave radios, some hand cranked, reach into small, remote villages, where listeners gather to learn and study the Bible. For many, this is the foundation of their church, and their only exposure to the Gospel. MaranathaRadio is broadcast internationally.

In a small village in Kenya, Africa, a group gathers near a shortwave radio everyday, listening to Bible studies taught by a variety teachers, including Maranatha Radio. For most, this is their only exposure to the Gospel. This is their church. Local pastors use these broadcasts as their primary source of study and learning.
My vision and heart’s desire for Maranatha Radio is to reach the whole world with the whole Gospel, especially the third world countries, where a deep spiritual hunger draws hundreds of listeners.
But I need an army like the one that surrounded King David as he readied for war, fighting for the cause of the Lord. We are in a spiritual war, and we can provide AIR SUPPORT through the airwaves!
I am looking for a part of David’s army, the tribe of Issachar, described in 1 Chronicles 12:32 as “the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…”
I want men and women who understand the times in which we live, ready to do what we ought to do: take the whole Gospel to the whole world, and proclaim, Maranatha! The Lord is coming back!
I would like to challenge you to commit twelve dollars or more a month toward joining this army. Why twelve dollars? Because it is affordable to most people living in the United States. Because there were twelve tribes of Israel who laid the foundation of our faith. Twelve apostles who gave their lives to preach the Gospel, which is now believed by over two and a half billion people. Because in the book of Revelation, the new Jerusalem is laid out upon twelve foundations, named after the twelve apostles.
We receive many letters like this one:
“Hello Pastor Ray, I was in a hurry because in Uganda we pay for the time used at the internet so I didn’t write before and am sorry … I was at my friend’s home when I heard you preaching and my friend told me that you always preach so I went home. When I listened to you, my life changed and I became a different person, even at home they ask me how I changed. I used not to forgive and now a big thing is very small to me. I want to be a person who knows what she does. I loved the preaching of angels it changed a lot in me now I know that whatever I do, God is seeing me. thank you. I hope to hear from you soon. God bless you and be with you. I will always pray for you pastor for God to bless you. bye from for.it <http://for.it/”
When I think of a dear woman paying for internet time to tell us how listening to the radio changed her life, deepened her relationship with God —and that she is praying for me!—I am deeply touched and convinced that this is where we need to go with the Gospel.
We need to take our radio program to places that aren’t saturated with hundreds of programs and Bible studies – to places where we can expect no financial return to support radio broadcasting, but where the spiritual rewards are rich and humbling. These are people from whom we have much to learn about faith and trust.
MaranathaRadio is broadcast internationally in Kenya, Uganda, the UK, Europe, Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, and in the United States, southern California and San Francisco.
California is especially rich in Bible teaching and Christian radio programming. But this is home base for me. I live and pastor a church in San Diego where I have found people are eager and compelled to reach the world with the Gospel.
In examining my own life, if I simply give up two or three fancy coffee drinks a month…or a movie ticket…or carpool once and save a few gallons of gas… twelve dollars would be easy to find. I know that’s not true for everyone, but I do know it is true for many listeners in more affluent areas. Twelve dollars a month can bring hope to people where that amount of money is small fortune, and the Gospel message is precious beyond measure.
Our goal is not so much the amount of money, but the number of people dedicated to praying and being part of the army of God, ready to take the Gospel into the literal uttermost parts of the world. If hundreds, or thousands, of dedicated foot soldiers will commit to supporting and praying for the church in the third world, then I believe we will see revival breaking out all over the world as we hasten the day of the Lord!
The ministry of Maranatha Chapel is dedicated to practical relief work. We are supporting and have launched several efforts in Africa, Latin America, and other third world areas of the world. It is our desire that as we help feed the poor and attempt to alleviate suffering, but we also offer the very real love, faith, and hope that comes with the love of Jesus. We see lives transformed, not only by practical help, but by meeting very real spiritual needs.
Please pray about joining us. Join the tribe of Issachar – those who understand the times and the urgent need to reach the world with the powerful message of God’s salvation and our heart’s cry— Maranatha! The Lord is coming!
VISION/MISSION
LOVE GOD, according to the Great Commandment:
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Mark 12: 30-31)
MAKE DISCIPLES, according to The Great Commission
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...” Matthew 28: 19-20
